Hours: Bank contract

The Hawthorns Clevedon are currently seeking a creative, dedicated and enthusiastic team player to join our friendly and welcoming team as a Twilight Supervisor.  The Hawthorns in Clevedon provides a unique, high quality independent living experience in a luxurious and lively environment. As Twilight Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing cover for the management team by looking after and locking up the building, assisting residents, managing evening entertainment and activities and overseeing the supper service in the dining room.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the facility in the absence of the management team
  • Perform any facility staff duties for continual operation of the service
  • Respond to emergency calls from the residents, contacting the emergency services if/when required.
  • Supervising staff within the dining room/kitchen for the evening meal and serving tea/coffee to residents.On occasions undertaking a full server role to cover holiday or sickness absence.
  • Securing the kitchen area after the evening meal and undertaking a tour of the whole building to ensure it is fully secure at night.
  • Assisting with the set up and breakdown of evening activities as the need arises.
  • To be open, honest and professional in communicating and working with all staff members and lead by example
  • To keep the General Manager and Duty Managers informed on the status of the facility
About You
To be successful in this role, it is essential you have experience with working with the general public and residents, preferably from a hotel or sheltered housing background. Ability to work using initiative and undertake a variety of tasks.
